CI Carioca motorhome
We havent had him too long as he is a little big for our needs, a typical eyes bigger than needs type thing! We had a smaller van and wanted a garage, fixed beds, lots of space which this van has to offer, but there is only three of us so having three double beds that can accommodate 6 is a little too much. Central bed can be treated as two singles if required. Accommodation is flexible and as much storage as needed including large wardrobe, under seat storage, lockers and internal access to garage. Includes smoke/ Carbon monoxide alarm. Suited to wild camping, onboard large fresh and waste tanks, hot water shower, solar. We have travelled far into France over the summer and he pulled like a train throughout, no hill was too big with his 2.8 l engine lugging not only our kit for two weeks but another family of fours kit, and still room to spare in that garage. It opens from both sides and we got in four bikes, three tents 8 large chairs, sleeping bags, kit, bbq and the list goes on. It also holds the sides and front of the awning so the wind out fiamma awning which runs the width of the van can be turned into a full enclosed awning, with curtains to match. There is also a roof rack storage with ladder, just in case you want more external storage. Since getting him i drained both batteries, both my fault, left the oven light and radio on, so new batteries have been installed and now a solar charging panel as well (better late than never). Unfortunately when i bought him he had no gas so he comes replete with two newly installed gas cylinders. The oven is really useful and works well, as does the four burner. The blown air central heating works to keep things toasty, but the van air conditioning which is rare to have on this model system is there for the hot weather if needed. It has everything you need for wild camping, water, waste, heating, hot water and so on. Downsides, hey its a 14 year old home, and one of the decals on the near side is a little worn in and the whole van has been re sealed and is water tight. When i bought him I had a full service done, new cam belt at 50000 miles, fixed a few niggly issues such as a cracked rear side light, replaced the freezer hinges refurbished all the blinds, washed the curtains and so on. The only thing i haven’t yet done is tidy up the outer plastic side trim and fix a small crack on the bumper. So in summary, a 14 year old van, well speccd and can accommodate 6 with belted seats for all and beds to match. He will take all your kit and look after you. Want to go travelling now, he is ready to go, winter/ summer, all weathers. Mot till 17th October 2020 (the day before this ad is out so cant get much more recent) cam belt changed at 50000 miles. Motorhome is 7 metres long. Brand new rear brake pads for mot, new lightbulbs, window wipers. Internal it is 210 wide, from side to side – door opening on one side to the door opening on the other. It is 110 breadth, from the rear of the van to the internal wall leading to the cabin, there is a large lip either side so i measured the narrowest point, so from 30 cm high it is a bit wider to 138 cm. It is 130 high. It has a door on either side, both are the same size. 100 wide and 120 high. There are drains in the floor. Any questions, let me know. Still getting over that one. Also tv/ dvd player and aerial. Oven/grill, four burner cooker, solar charger. NB The van is competitively priced and i know everyone wants a great deal, but at a push i will slightly less with a good reason – thought it might be helpful to get that out there and i just want to avoid getting hopes up, yours and mine! Downsides, hey its a 14 year old home, and one of the decals on the near side is a little worn in and at one time there has been a leak in the rear off side but the whole van has long been re sealed and is water tight. I would dare anyone to find a similar van that either has had the same or someone is being a little coy with the truth!
