2015 converted campervan
Featured on TV as part of series’Quick little builds’ as an showcase campervan. Vehicle Length: 6 metres. Vehicle Height: 2.5 metres. Length with hitch: 6 metres. Max Laden Weight (MAM): 3500 kg. MOT: due 13th July 2022. RECENT WORK: New timing belt, new turbo, Clutch and break pads and discs replaced and 2 front tyres. Despite the mileage the van has been well looked after and has had its a/c fixed and numerous other smaller jobs sorted. Description of Beds: Sleeps 2 people on a memory foam mattress. We fitted a makeshift bed in the cabin area for our little girl with a memory foam mattress that works well. Description of Seating: Three belted seats in the front (including driver) with headrests. Cooking Equipment: Two gas hobs with calor gas cannister. All plumbed in and has a gas leisure certificate, if you were to want to rent the van out. Water Facilities: There is a 20-litre removable water tank that supplies water to the sink via a 12v pump. There is also a 10-litre grey water removeable tank. 2 x 95AH leisure batteries. Can place a yoga mat down, or tables and chairs or a travel cot for a smaller child. Under bed storage where the fridge is located. Full length overhead storage down both sides. Two cupboards, one consisting as a seat and a small cupboard opposite. Cooking & Heating (Gas). Diesel air heater with 10L tank (requires some work as not currently working). 2.5kg butane camping gaz bottle stored in sealed cupboard with drop hole. Capacity to create a shower in the van if you wanted. There is some minor dents on the bodywork that can be ironed out. I’ve been quoted a couple hundred for the main dent (picture on request). The diesel heater for living space also needs to be looked at as the fuel pump has gone. There is some remedial work that will be needed on the sump eventually. Again been quoted a few hundred. I’ve had the timing belt done a few months ago and in the last year had the turbo and clutch replaced which are major works completed for future owners All in all, the vans in good nick and will keep going for many more years to come with no unexpected costs, like turbo, clutch and timing belt. I have more images to share on request. The campervans also been on TV so have a video to share. Please message or call for more photos, videos or more information. The van is available for viewings in person or virtually. The item “2015 converted campervan” is in sale since Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Ex-NHS medical waste transport vehicle, 3.5 ton drive-able on any license. Was very well looked after, mainly motorway miles. The MOT history is flawless up until we SORNed her to convert her. Sailed through the one we put her through and has only done maybe 1k miles since then as you can see from the MOT readout. No doubt the next MOT should be no problem at all. Would recommend replacing the brakes on both axles at some stage as she’s been sat on hard standing for a while now. I do regularly move her about and leave the handbrake off to avoid binding but yeah as i said she’s been out of use for a while. Will consider getting her MOT’ed for the right person but would rather not to have to spend any more time than I already have done.. Aside from that there’s just odds and ends second fix bits and bobs to finish off, 90% is complete I would say, still haven’t got around to connecting up the hardware for shower, taps and boiler / gas and a few other sundries but this takes no time at all. Realistically probably another 4k on materials and parts for the conversion, I haven’t gone through all the receipts to be honest it may well be more. Not to mention the hundreds of hours! Starts every time as you would expect. 130k is really just getting warmed up for a 2011 sprinter which is one of the reasons I bought her. We bought her to convert with plans to live in full time a while ago after our last transit was in an accident in Europe. Unfortunately a few months in we didn’t have any work and pretty much ran out of cash while in the midst of converting and our plans totally changed. Now a year later, I’m working full time as well as managing a small business and have no time whatsoever to finishing everything off. We’re both way too busy with work and again plans have changed completely so we’ve decided regretfully to pass her onto someone else! We put so much love and hours into this project but it’s funny how things turn out.. I would really love to finish the project for myself and partly because I know it would be worth much more but as I said there’s no time and a myriad of reasons preventing me now.. I’m sure there’s a bunch of stuff I’ve left out but this is turning into an essay!
