The Bessacarr 525 by Design. Is the “Rolls-Royce” of caravans. Made by Swift based on their top of the range “Elegance” models, but with an even higher specification. Made for Couplands Caravans and only made in very limited numbers. This caravan has only become available due to the owner retiring from caravanning after 24 years. The exterior is practically unmarked, and the outside specification includes not only the motor mover (Top of the range “Truma” auto engage), but also ATC (automatic trailer control), alloy wheels, exterior barbeque point, exterior mains electric outlet and Alko stabilized hitch. Stepping inside the quality of the interior soft furnishings is immediately apparent and the curved “Techno form” Italian soffit locker doors and light-coloured cupboard doors blend beautifully with the rest of the furnishings. At the front are 2 large settees upholstered in “wipe clean” fabric which look as if they have hardly been sat on. These can be used as 2 single beds or a huge double bed at night time. In between is a chest of draws, with pull-out occasional table. In a console behind this chest of draws are a full set of plugs including 2 mains sockets, a 12-volt socket, USB point and aerial socket. There is a full stereo sound system (with even speakers in the washroom/dressing room at the other end of the caravan). On the offside is a generous 2-seater dinette, which can convert into an addition berth, if required. Opposite this is the huge kitchen area, with one of the largest work surfaces in any caravan. The kitchen work surfaces are made of a “Corinthian”, marble style material, which is super resistant to dents or cracks. There are the usual appliances expected in a top range caravan in this very practical kitchen area, which has clearly had very little usage. There is also an Air Conditioning unit built into the roof over the kitchen. The specification also includes an omni-directional TV aerial, and an automatic Sprite Satellite dish. There is also a solar panel on the roof and 7 mains power points spread throughout the caravan. Moving into the very well appointed full width, rear washroom/dressing room, there is an oversized, self-contained shower cubicle, fixed central vanity unit, very large wardrobe, electric flushing, cassette toilet and a heated towel rail. There is a further, smaller stowage locker in this area as well. The whole caravan is fitted with the latest Alde central heating system, which also heats the hot water, and can be powered by either mains electricity or gas. If you are the next lucky owner of this caravan, then in caravanning terms ” you have really arrived”.
