2.5 Litre Petrol, V6, Automatic. Four berths (2 + 2). Eight months MOT (to November 2024). This Mazda Bongo was manufactured in 1997, and first registered in the UK in August 2012. It was imported by JAL Importers, the leading UK specialist in Japanese camper vans. With a 2.5 litre V6 petrol engine and automatic gearbox, it is a very smooth ride. It has power steering, air conditioning, electric windows, electric mirrors and a JVC CD player/radio. Over the years, the van has clocked up just over 79,000 miles. Please note: the odometer is in kilometres (126,666) and this is, wrongly, reflected on MOT certificates. The speedo shows MPH. The body work is excellent, and the living accommodation is in great condition. It has a mushroom pop-up roof which can sleep two, and a very comfortable pull-out, double bed for another two people. There are tinted windows in the rear and electric/manual blinds. The Bongo has everything you need for on-site or wild camping: 240v-electric hook up, leisure battery, 2 x 13-amp sockets, inside lights, cold box, a two-burner gas hob, and a sink. There is also a removable table, and extra fold-down seat. The van had been well-looked after when I bought it in February 2023. The previous owner had the radiator and hoses replaced and a coolant level monitor installed in 2022. Over the last 12 months, it has had the following. New leisure battery in June 2023. New front and rear brake calipers and pads in November 2023. Oil and filter change in November 2023. New nearside rear tyre in December 2023. A couple of things to note. The nearside rear hub cap has been removed, and the parking aide on the nearside front bumper is broken see red circles in last photo. The spare tyre ideally needs replacing, and the offside rear blind does not work on the electric switch but it can still be raised/lowered by hand. There are a couple of minor scuffs but otherwise the body and paintwork are very good, especially for a 27-year-old vehicle! I’m very fond of this Bongo and we had some great trips together. I owned the van for just over a year, drove about 8,000 miles and it never let me down. The van is located in Crewe, south Cheshire.
