I have owned her for the last five years as my children have grown, and we’ve taken her on many wonderful adventures across the UK. The van is in used condition and has some minor repairs that will need addressing, such as the small patches of rust (shown in pictures) and the need for a fresh AFT tent fabric. The AFT is mechanically sound and operates without issue, I just haven’t had the time to upload pictures as of yet. The van also comes with a side awning, and a driveaway awning will be thrown in with the sale, along with extension leads and EHU to make life simple on the campsite. This is a very versatile vehicle that has suited us well as a 4 person family for years. This van has made it from lands end to John O Groats and everywhere in between. Across Scotland, up the west coast and down the east. She has never faltered, given us no mechanical issues, started first time even after months of being covered up for winter. The van is very well specced for basic family adventures with a Weber fridge, hob, and ample storage provided to take everything you need for a family trip, but is also versatile as a day van, and with the seats removed can transport long items easily. As you can see in the pictures, she’s starting to show her age, and will need some minor cosmetic repairs done to keep her in good shape. My free time is just as valuable as yours and I don’t want to deal with constant time wasters. Along with the van, I will be throwing in some accessories! I have a drive away awning, winter cover, portable toilet and pop tent that will all be included in the sale. This is our beloved camper that we are so happy you are taking to time to look at; we hope you love her like we do. We have used bamboo ply not only as a feature but also because it is lightweight and sustainable. The kitchen work top is also bamboo and it feels like a proper kitchen. More worktop than some studio apartments! It is registered as a box van as is very difficult to change registration since last year. We built this van with the plans of going skiing in it. She has a super efficient LPG heater which is incredible cheap to run and heats up the van in no time at all. Plus she is very well insulated with 50mm insulation all round and has double glazed narrow boat windows one on each side. All has appliances run off the underslung LPG tank which can be easily filled at an LPG pump, these are becoming much more common and weve never had an issue finding one. We have taken it to be checked out by a van conversion gas specialist and they have checked all the connections and they are all safe; we also have a gas detector and a carbon monoxide detector. The gas appliances are as follows. Instant Hot water heater. Gas, blow air heater. We also chose to use an only tin bath as the shower tray which is handy for using less water when washing or washing clothes or even washing a dog. There is a 150L water tank which easily lasts 4-7 days depending on how often you need to shower. The system has shurflo in line pump and water pressure is fantastic. The electrics are the most important part of the van as we wanted to be off grid and as self sufficient as possible. The electrical set up is listed below. 200Ah Victron Lithium Ion battery. Victron Smart BMS 12V 100a (keeps the battery heathy and charges off the starter battery when running). Victron Easyplus Compact (Inverter/Charger and AC power distribution all in one). Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/50 (Solar charge controller). 6 x 100W Solar panels wires in pairs to give 300W of solar at a higher voltage (more efficient charging). Victron Battery Protect Cuts off the DC power if the battery runs low on charge. Victron BMV Battery Monitor (so you obsessively keep an eye on your battery levels and health). Its easy to use and safe keeping your mind at ease. We went with all Victron as they are the leading company across Europe and America for DC electrical systems. If you have a look on their website you can see all their devices and how they work, also how much they cost. There is lightning throughout the van, we went a bit overkill and probably put in too many lights but with our electrical setup you could leave them on all day and you would never drain the battery. Most low voltage downlights with a few LED strips when you need something extra. The security for the van is great; we have a household lock on the main door which we can also lock the shutter at the back with a padlock. The door through to the cab also requires a lock so we always feel super safe. Also due to the windows being higher up than most vans people cant peer in as they walk by. We have tried to cover as much as possible but if you have any more questions we are super happy to help! The item “Mercedes sprinter camper van conversion.
